Giving For Our Church's Growth |
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, Proverbs 3:27 Giving Opportunities: Building Fund and Prayer Garden Building Fund Lord of Life Lutheran Church is a small but wonderful, humble church that worships in a open-air former stable. While we are small, we are growing and we want to build a new climate-controlled sanctuary on our property, which we own. Our long-term plan is still to build a new structure. Depite a ground breaking event in 2017, approved plans by the county, and even the steel to build the frame, we simply don't have enough funds yet to obtain a mortage. We continue to ask for donations for our building fund. We've been present and active for more than 20 years in this location and will do our best to continue to offer a good place for spiritual growth! Prayer Garden We are delighted that Boy Scout Nicholas Storm of Ponte Vedra Troop 277 has approached us and is now collaborating with us to build a prayer garden for our church in the shape of a cross. This will be his Eagle Scout project and hopes to have it finished by Easter. Nicholas is responsible for fundraising and believes it will cost about $4000 to install. He is allowed to ask the church for support - and so we are reaching out to you to ask if you would consider helping us make this a reality. It will be the first garden on the property. It will be in front of the church, near the parking lot, and is designed to be drought-tolerant, with native Florida plants that are specific for attracting bees, butterflies and other wildlife as part of a conservation focus. When finished, there will be benches to sit and contemplate as well as bricks that will be sold that will be imprinted in memory of loved ones. You can buy a memorial brick to be in the garden! They look terrific and have a lifetime guarantee by the manufacturer. Click here for more information on them. Please click on the "giving button" and then the drop down menu "give to" and the last item is the prayer garden. This system is provided by Tithely which is a secure network for churches. Thank you! |
